Berlin plays host to massive Dubstep event
5 June, 2008 | 9.49AMInfamous techno club, Berghain will open its doors for the first time ever on a Friday night for one of the largest dubstep nights in western Europe.
The night, entitled Sub:Stance will take place on the 11th July.
Playing at the event are Scuba and Schackleton, who have recently moved to Berlin.
Their specific style of dubstep is heavily influenced by techno. Schackleton made big waves in 2007 through the ‘Blood on your Hands EP’ which was remixed by Ricardo Villalobos.
Also playing the event are Digital Mystikz’s Mala, Bristol’s very own Appleblim, Distance and Berlin’s very own T++, infamous for his techno productions and his work with Monolake.
The event itself has gathered masses of attention among the forums, and is expected to bring in a whole variety of different music lovers.
It is without question the biggest dubstep night Berlin has ever seen.
The event organisers have confirmed that this is not just a one off, and have already been booking some of the biggest names in dubstep for the next night later this year, so keep tuned to Beatportal to find out more.
