Amon Tobin‘s new ISAM show is a jaw-dropping, mind-boggling audio-visual extravaganza that immediately raised the bar for multimedia performances. Now Derivative, makers of the TouchDesigner application that was used to program the projection mapping, video playback, Kinect response, and more, presents an in-depth look under the hood, featuring interviews with members of the visuals team from V Squared Labs and Leviathan—as well as some seriously drool-worthy photographs. (You might also recognize Derivative’s name from their work on Richie Hawtin’s Plastikman Live show.) Designers, programmers, geeks and synaesthetics are definitely going to want to check it out.
