Beatport Music Awards 2008: Vote Now!

Voting has begun for the Beatport Music Awards 2008 at: http://www.beatportal.com/awards.

The aim of the Beatport Music Awards (BMAs) is to recognize electronic music talent and the nominees for the BMAs are based solely on unit sales at Beatport.com (during 2007).

We feel that by basing the nominees of unit sales (rather than by having an open public vote, or by having ‘music experts’ choose them), we’ve created a fair poll because it was you, the record buying public, DJs and electronic music fans who chose the nominees.

Plus the BMAs are broken down by genre allowing you to vote only for the music categories that interest you. So that means artists from each genre have the chance to be recognized for their hard work.

Please help us to recognize the best artists and best music of 2007 by voting at: http://www.beatportal.com/awards.

Voting closes April 22nd 2008.

The results of the BMAs will be announced on Beatportal on Monday April 28th.
