Beatport launches electronic music wiki

Beatport launches electronic music wiki

After a few weeks of public beta, we’re happy to unveil our wiki for electronic music which we’re calling BeatWiki.

With over 72,000 artist pages and 7000 record label pages, BeatWiki is set to grow into the world’s most definitive electronic music information hub. But like wikipedia, we need a little help from the public first.

Search

Discover

Every artist and every label on Beatport has their own BeatWiki page at an easy to remember URL. Discover new artists or labels by using Beatportal’s Search.

Every BeatWiki page is information rich with a biography, photos, latest news and user contributed content.

Listen

Listen

Listen to the top tracks of an artist or a label on their BeatWiki page, and check out the full Beatport discography of every artist and label.

Interact

Interact with BeatWiki pages by adding information, cross-references or citations, as well as photos and relevant content. You can also add favorites, find other fans, rate and discuss artists and labels.

Edit

Any registered Beatport user can edit a BeatWiki page, and any content submitted to an artist or label BeatWiki page will appear in Beatportal’s Community Feed, with the best content hand picked for Beatportal’s Main Feed and homepage.
