16 November, 2007 | 10.57AM- Section: Music News Topics: Beatport Blog
DJ Fabio, one of the jungle pioneers and leaders of the drum & bass scene - as well as championing the music on an international scene through his BBC1 radio show with Grooverider, has been releasing and sourcing some of the funkiest, most liquid drum & bass releases through his own imprint, Creative Source.
Through Creative Source, DJ Fabio has not only helped to create the liquid movement, but he’s introduced and helped breakthrough some of the most prolific DJs in contemporary, liquid drum & bass.
Such talents as Calibre, Lynx, Alix Perez and Danny C have all had releases through his label, and are now some of the most renowned artists within the scene.
For a taste of the label, check out ‘Morning Sun’ by Perez and ‘Mariachi’ by Lynx.
And as long as you haven’t been living in a cave for the past few months, then you’ll be aware and readily waiting Lynx’s ‘Disco Dodo’, championed by everyone from Andy C to DJ Hype, which comes out soon through Creative Source on Beatport.
Also check out ‘DJ Marky & Friends Present: The Master Plan’, a collection of the latest and unreleased tunes from Marky’s own imprint, Innerground.
The mix, compiled by Marky himself, is a collection of some of the funkiest, liquid drum & bass tunes around, featuring the heavily played ‘Shame’ by Die and Westbeech, and also featuring the likes of Calibe, Lomax and Zero Tollerance.
