Beatport celebrates gay pride in NYC

NYC Pride takes place from June 22nd - 29th 2008 with a series of events in New York City celebrating lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgendered culture.

Beatport and Beatportal are proud to be participating in NYC Pride’s March this Sunday June 29th with a massive, 30-foot float full of musical goodies for the annual street parade, as well as on-location reporting and video coverage of the televised event.

The Beatport float is due to be a massive, 30-foot monster, with a full DJ rig and premium sound system to set the party off right.

Hosted by diva Franklin Fuentes, this is no small event, and Beatport is honored to have such a great line-up of performers.

The March starts at noon on 5th Ave. & 52nd St., with performances on Beatport’s Pride float by a host of top-notch DJs and performers, including the legendary Yoko Ono!

New York city’s newest dance station, Pulse 87 will be offering live coverage with DJ Jewelz Lopez, so tune in if you need to know what the haps is as the event happens.

The fun won’t end with the March, so if you’re ready to party be sure to head on down to the Beatport Beach Party at Water Taxi Beach in Long Island City from 1-10 PM where you’ll find DJs Quentin Harris, Exacta, Ted Patterson, Dean K, and Cevin Fisher (click here for tickets).

Beatportal will also be reporting on the city-wide festivities—including post-parties—throughout the weekend, so check back for further coverage.
