Can we take a minute and give it up for 1999?

Records stores were bustling, clubs were packed, Subliminal Records was sending out stacks of promo vinyl every week, and yours truly was the age of innocence: 20.

It was also the year when ATFC first released whipsmart vocal anthems ‘In And Out Of My Life’ and ‘Bad Habit’.

On this revisiting of the latter, ATFC employs the skills that made the former so crafty.

‘My Life’ was a perfect mashup (in the pre-mashup days) of Adeva’s ‘In And Out Of My Life’ and Fatboy Slim’s ‘Right Here, Right Now’.

ATFC’s ‘Lektrotek Revisit’ is a similarly adept blend of the ‘Bad Habit’ original and one of the most overlooked classics in house, Chaka Khan’s ‘I Know You, I Live You’.

Enjoy, but do yourself a favor and track down that Chaka original too.
