Byron Bay on Australia’s east coast that is well know for it’s surf, sun and the ability to attract the loves of mother earth has born a collective of talented Australian artist forged through the artistry of Dave Basek and Phil Smart. the collective called Junkbeats.
www.junkbeats.com has grown into a label that has now spawned a sub-label ‘db recordings’ this label delves into the depths of heady deep house and tech house not unaccustomed to the artist that have passed through these parts in recent years and have produced in Dave Baseks studio, Jeff Bennett, Fred Everything, Hipp-e and Halo (who produced there Soma recording lp ‘environment’ over a 2 week period) and Kriece among others.
Dave Basek and Chad D’s ‘nothing’ ep has had a great response since being available on Beatpot since August and now Fo_sek’ s ‘the matter’ ep remixed by Dave Basek is upload onto Beatport as we speak.
