You can’t help thinking that producers sometimes invite criticism, and calling a track ‘Atrocity’ is a prime example.

Then again, naming conventions have obviously never really bothered the Donkey Rollers!

Despite setting themselves up for a potential fall here, they avoid any repercussions by delivering a rock solid hardstyle release which should come as little surprise when you learn that Zany, Jowan and Michel Pollen are just three of the consortium behind the Donkey Rollers guise.

‘Atrocity’ is a melancholic affair that dives into a sinister breakdown of chilling vocals and eerie violins before winding up the pace with aggressive synth riffs and pounding kick drums that come close to tearing the speakers apart.

‘Chopper’ also walks the line between darkness and light with a big trance breakdown that teases listeners with an air of euphoria, only to turn the track on its head when it kicks back in with savage synths, moody key changes and hammering beats.
