The Around the World in 80 Raves sample CD by Sample Magic is now available on Big Fish Audio.  Around was announced this winter alongside Minimal & Tech House(not to be confused with Minimal Techno released by Ueberschall which is also now available on Big Fish Audio), and features a wide range of electronic music genres created by the Techno mavens Eat Static. 

From the product description: “For the first time ever, techno pioneers Eat Static open their sample vaults for a futuristic journey into world dance. Classic analogue synths and drum machines blend with live percussion, guitars and ethnic instrumentals in a nu-world tour de force, featuring 900MB+ 24-bit loops and samples inspired by genres as diverse as trance, latin, drum’n’bass, dub, house and reggae.”

Sample Magic is ready for another big year after Remix Magazine awarded its Electro-House library Best Sample Collection for 2007.

Francis Preve caught up with SM’s kingpin Sharooz Raoofi at this year’s NAMM show to discuss what’s up with this new sample production squad.
