‘s Arnaud Rebotini is back with a new live set. And when he says “live,” he means it. This video introduces the concept: his kit consists exclusively of TR 808, TR 909, TR 707, Pro One, Juno 60, TB 303 and two SH 101s, with four webcams, two overhead screens and one pounding strobe light to complete the visual experience.
He also released a new album this week, Someone Gave Me Religion, out on his newly launched Blackstrobe Records. Just like the live show, the record was recorded entirely on classic analog gear; stylistically, it ranges from Krautrock-inspired ambient fantasias to EBM, and from Italo-flavored synth pop to techno.
The recent singles ”Personal Dictator” and ”All You Need Is Techno” take the beats up a notch, featuring tougher reworks from MixHell, Motor, The Hacker, Feadz, and Gesaffelstein.
Check out videos for both singles after the jump.
