There’s nothing like an old skool house track to get you in the mood for a night out on the tiles. One of the best house anthems of all time must be Armand Van Helden ‘The Funk Phenomena’ which was originally released way back in 1996.

In 2003, Henry Street Music released a bunch of new remixes, but none of them came close to the sexy slow-paced funk of the original [track No.2 in the player below].

Even 11 years after it first hit the clubs the track is still a powerful tool that’ll get even the most ignorant dance fan grooving.

A true dance anthem.
