Not content with solely being the best new club to open in 2008, Area 51 is turning 2009 into the year that Manchester’s club scene has been waiting for.

After an incredible start to the year that has already seen James Lavelle, Jesse Rose and M.A.N.D.Y hit the decks, they are yet again raising the musical bar and bringing show stopping promotions to the Northern clubbing haven. Upcoming nights this month will see week after week of the biggest names in house take turn to push the Funktion One sound system to its limits.

Easter Thursday (9th April) sees one of house music’s biggest stars take to the CDJ’s, the ground breaking, world class DJ/producer, Steve Lawler. Setting musical precedents left, right and centre, his genre busting style has turned him into one of today’s true electronic artists. Before Rhadoo and Thomas Schumacher join techno forces at Kaluki on Saturday the 11th and deliver what can only be described as electronic warfare… Then, to complete your Easter Weekender, on Sunday 12th April, legendary Manchester purveyors of all things electronic, Koochi, are back at Area 51 this Easter Sunday with legendary House stalwart, Felix Da Housecat, in tow.
