Aphex Twin ‘Come To Daddy’

Richard D. James aka Aphex Twin is one of electronic music’s greatest artists, and his cutting-edge avant garde approach to production has won him much respect.

‘Come To Daddy’ is one of Aphex Twin’s best known songs and made James an international star when it was released in 1997.

Aphex described the moment ‘Come To Daddy’ came about:

“‘Come to Daddy’ came about while I was just hanging around my house, getting pissed and doing this crappy death metal jingle.

“Then it got marketed, and a video was made, and this little idea that I had, which was a joke, turned into something huge. It wasn’t right at all.”

The video was directed by acclaimed director Chris Cunningham and features a urinating dog, an evil monster, and naughty children.
