London clubs: And the Beat… is Delayed
London clubs: And the Beat… is Delayed
8 February, 2008 | 3.37AMBIG news in the capital then is that the whole of the tube network is planning to go on strike in the near future!! What are we French? I mean they go on strike for everything… Merde…
Luckily though, this weekend it seems that apart from the normal station closures, signal failures, defective trains and planned engineering works the best public transport system in the world will be running as normal, so I guess it’s true (for now anyway) the beat does indeed go on.
Starting from next week I will be posting some interviews with London nightlife heavy weights, The Filthy Dukes plus also some words of wisdom from young upstarts in the form of the promoters from Transient and Disco Bloodbath.
For now though here are what I deem (yes I am the party oracle) to be the top nights in the big smoke this weekend!
First up then the team at the Amersham Arms (the same boys behind programming at Camden’s infamous Lock Tavern) call in the heavy weights in the form of Adventure Close to Home and FACT magazine with DJ sets from Sheffields 2-step rude bwooy Toddla T plus ACTH Djs and also a live set from italo-cum-electro-cum-synth-pop band Heart Break!
