Yves V is one of the fastest growing DJ talents from the Benelux. He already played at events like Sensation, David Guetta in Concert, Mysteryland and so on .. Last summer the beats brought by Yves V were a standard at every big outdoor event.

1. Who is Yves V?

Yves V is one of the fastest growing DJ talents from the Benelux. He already played at events like Sensation, David Guetta in Concert, Mysteryland and so on .. Last summer the beats brought by Yves V were a standard at every big outdoor event. One to remember was definitely his memorable set at the mainstage of Tomorrowland 2011! His remix of Insane Pressure was his breakthrough of already a list of his own productions (’Forever’ with Digital Lab & Pedro Henriques, ‘Madagascar’ with Dimitri Vegas, Like Mike & Angger Dimas, etc.). Be surprised by an eclectic mix of the best electro, groove & house.

2. What led you into becoming a house music producer/DJ? Were there a few events in your life that made you realize that this was what you wanted to do or was it something gradual?

Yves V: I loved electronic music from the very first moment because of the continuous beats and melodic breaks. I do like other styles too, but these crazy dance tracks kept me going. Because I’ve been working as a dj for a long time already, I know what pleases people. So after a while I got very eager to make my own release, which happened quite fast after the decision I wanted to make dance music. My first track was released somewhere end of 2008! Off course you have to find new inspiration for every new track you want to release. And I’m able to find this inspiration thanks to my audience and my own sets.

3. What program did you start out using and what are you working with right now?

Yves V: I started with Muzys on Windows, and changed to Logic Pro pretty fast.

4. Can you describe your DJ set’s? What kind of music do you play and how do you please the crowd.

Yves V: I always play music for my audience! The fun part is that I do not prefer one particular style of music so I can always play what the audience wants to hear. This combined with my own personalized dj style!
I want to bring an energetic set playing an eclectic mix of electro & house, combined with my own releases in order to create my own sound.

5. A radio show/podcast is very important these day’s, do you have one? And what are you mainly playing in these show’s?

Yves V: Every Friday I have my own radio show, “V Sessions”, on radio FG Belgium (21h – 22h). Worldwide you can check my radioshow on FG Clubbing (Tuesday > 05am, Wednesday > 09 am, Thursday > 11am, Saturday > 04pm). In this show I bring the latest new tracks in combination with a classic track of the month and some special edits!

6. Play in Belgium or abroad? 

Yves V: Most of the time I play in Belgium but the last few months I’m getting more and more requests from abroad: Next month I will be playing at Milan, Paris & Madrid and for next year we already have Miami and the South Africa tour planned!
I will definitely maintain my contact with my loyal Belgian fans, as I have my monthly residence at club Noxx in Antwerp and off course the big Belgian festivals like Tomorrowland.

8.  Where do you find your inspiration to create new tracks?

Yves V: It’s the audience and my own sets that inspires me for producing new tracks

9. Are you on Social Media, and do you think this is important for you?

Yves V: Off course I think it’s very important for an artist these days, I often use facebook more like an interactive website & twitter is a good medium for short messaging. This is how I maintain a good contact with other artists and most important, my fans!

10. What goals do you want to achieve in the future?

Entertaining people with my very own music will always be my main goal!
