Amsterdam’s Club 11 crew to open Trouw

Amsterdam’s Club 11 crew to open Trouw

Kristian Beyer from Ame [a] posted a note yesterday about a new club coming from the folks behind Amsterdam’s now defunct Club11.

In his blog post, Kristian reveals that Club 11’s former owners Olaf and Daan have found a new location in the centre of the city, which used to house Dutch daily newspaper Trouw.

Trouw began life as a Dutch resistance paper during World War II. The new club is earmarked to open at the end of February.

Trouw could become an Amsterdam hotspot

Club 11 was once one of Amsterdam’s best night spots, a “four year experiment” that ended up becoming a major success.

Housed on the 11th floor of an abandoned factory, Club 11 fused art, excellent food and cutting-edge electronic music with Âme and others regularly appearing. The building was marked for demolition last year.

(Kristian snapped a few photos of Trouw whilst “my wife drew the attention of Olaf and Daan by flirting with them”, and we hope he doesn’t mind us reprinting some of them here).
