Afterburner
Afterburner
Neil Quigley [Forensic Records]
21 April, 2009 | 4.11PMLondoner Neil Quigley
is hotly tipped by John Digweed
for greatness, having warmed up for the progressive house giant at his Bedrock parties on numerous occasions.
Renaissance and Urban Torque, two British imprints that fly the flag for high quality progressive music, is also supportive of Quigley who has been yearning to be a bigger part of the London prog scene for a number of years.
Quigley’s new ‘Afterburner’ track on Forensic Records
shows exactly the kind of deep and thoughtful progressive house he is all about.
With rich warm sounds, a smooth and evolving arrangement and a fluid construction of melodies, ‘Afterburner’ is viscerally moving and intelligently executed.
There aren’t many producers left in prog that have managed to avoid the influence of passing trends (minimal, techno, electro house), which makes Neil Quigley’s music something pure and quite unique.
