After 6 releases ‘The Edge’ and UC Music explodes
27 September, 2007 | 2.06PM- Section: Music News Topics: House Nation
After 6 are Sharon O Love and Alex Senna, and now joined by Andy Cook, the trio are behind the Kingdom Kome Cuts release, ‘The Edge’.
A stomping funk-rock fusion inspired by familiar ‘80s guitar riffs mangled with twisted synths and rasping basslines, it’s an assault on the senses that even gets rocked up a further notch by vocalist Andy Cook’s raw life-on-the-edge lyrics.
For something completely different, the After 6’s Late Nite Spooning Remix crosses genres merging electro, tech-house and soothing string layered melodies…
In other After 6 news: October will see the release of their Blue Dove single ‘Salvation’ - an energetic vocal house stomper featuring the gospel-etched vocals of Tonnic.
And in general news, new on UC Music is a very tasty package for Brazil’s Haveck and his new single, ‘Radio Nobody’.
A full on electro-charged dancer with tight drums, kicking bass and sing-a-long Brazilian vocals, Marco Carnaval’s remix adds more electronica into the equation, while Who Da Funk’s Jorge Jaramillo adds a deeper edge to proceedings.
Described as “a whirlwind of whistles, cheers, bonkers party antics” which kinda nicely sums it up.
