Afro beat, soul and dub reggae
Afro beat, soul and dub reggae
28 April, 2007 | 4.12AMBig Daddy Kane and Percee P join forces with Connie Price & The Keystones
on an action-packed 12-inch from Scion A/V.
Combining elements of soul, afro beat, dub reggae, Blaxploitation film scores, and even psychedelic rock and jazz, this sounds like a soundtrack to the best film you’ve never seen.
Connie Price & The Keystones are currently in the studio recording brand new material for a 2007 release on Ubiquity Records, but on this outing they revisit Big Daddy Kane’s ‘Give A Demonstration Part 2’, even adding new vocals from the big man himself.
A funk-fuelled backdrop lends the smooth operator some heavy ammunition to unleash his best verbal assault for a hot minute. Super bad!
