The “Purple Sunday EP” from the Egyptian brothers Adham Zahran & Hisham Zahran (Rezonant, Union Jack) marks their debut on Acryl Music. The four-tracker clearly earns the grade “deep”.

“Purple Sunday” features bone-dry drums, a groovy analog bassline and deep rhodes chords. The highlight however is the beautiful good-morning-synth-line paired with the strings. Pure bliss!

Dana Bergquist (Discoteca Music, Urban Torque) squints to the floor a tad more with his interpretation somewhere inbetween house and nu disco. Second original “Triplets” unveils the selection of the track name right after the first beats. Add fluffy pads, a striking piano-loop and one could see a slight detroit reference to shine through.

The Disclosure Project‘s (Elevation, Pesto) 4x4 mix of “Triplets” is a dreamy and ethereal affair in their well known & much loved trademark style. Spring can come!
