Adam F: When The Rain Is Gone
Adam F: When The Rain Is Gone
22 February, 2012 | 7.00AMAdam F’s “When The Rain Is Gone” doesn’t come out until March 18, but we’ve got an early look at the video for the bass enthusiast’s latest offering, which, for those who may not have been paying the closest attention, finds the DJ/producer/label head whistling a slightly different tune from his drum & bass days. Yep, even the man responsible for bringing Breakbeat Kaos to the heads has turned his attention to dubstep, and this one fires on all four cylinders.
“When The Rain Is Gone” will draw you in immediately with its tasteful arps and orchestral stabs, but it isn’t long before things really get moving, when the tune’s pitched-up female vocals and drum workout segue into a pummeling bass drop. And if the audio itself weren’t enough to convince you, the video takes this claim literally as it features a few post-apocalyptic-warehouse-party attendees being laid to waste by a stack of obliterated speakers, presumably vibrated to their very core by Mr. F’s relentless low end.
Check out the clip up top, and then grab “When The Rain Is Gone” on 3beat next month.
