Ableton releases Orchestral Instrument collection
6 May, 2008 | 4.17PM- Section: Music News Topics: Beatport Blog, Technology
A highly useful tool for composing and arranging musical sequences, Ableton Live is now expanding their technology to include a four-sampled instrument collection, representing the four sections of an orchestra.
Utilizing a technology called SmartPriming, Orchestral Instruments is able to provide big symphonic sound with a minimum of CPU action.
Strings, Brass, Woodwinds and Percussion are available individually or bundled, and the collection includes such instruments as violin, cello, double bass, French Horn, trombone, flute, and even the glockenspiel.
High- or low-fidelity versions are available, and many of the instruments represented are provided in solo or ensemble variants.
For producers and DJs looking to expand their musical repertoire, this might be just the tool to add some orchestral flavor to the mix.
Check out the Ableton webshop for further information.
