London School of Sound + Ableton Live - FREE plug-in and launch party

London School of Sound have developed a FREE VST PLUG-IN for use with the Ableton Live.  The plug-in is a simple but effective three-band EQ designed specifically for the performing DJ (as an alternative to the Eq-Three audio effect that comes built-in with Ableton Live).  The controls feature a non-linear behaviour which mimics the equalizer found on most professional DJ mixers. The plugin is available on both Mac and PC platform and can be downloaded from the London School of Sound website (http://www.londonschoolofsound.co.uk/resources.php).  No registration is necessary and there are no forms to fill in.

London School of Sound are holding an Ableton Live FREE LAUNCH PARTY on Saturday 02 February 2008.  To celebrate the arrival of Live 7, London School of Sound will host this free Ableton Live event featuring a demonstration of Live’s most exciting new features in a special workshop, and with representatives of M-audio and Ableton being there to answer questions.  Visitors will have the opportunity to try Live 7 on dedicated workstations and a lucky few will take home prizes donated by Ableton and M-Audio.  The event is completely free but places are limited and filling up fast, so it’s crucial to register in advance on the London School of Sound website (http://www.londonschoolofsound.co.uk/live.php).  Also, London School of Sound are now running their updated LSS Live 101 class every month in a new weekend-intensive format, and while the class size is still limited to six students, the course fees have been reduced from £550 to just £300.
