The world’s of dubstep and techno are blending as dubstep producers take on dub techno elements and produce tracks that sit between both genres, or as in this case, we see techno artists remix dubstep tracks.

Surgeon, one of the UK’s techno figureheads and a known dubstep addict provides a drifting techno remix of Scuba ‘Ruptured’, minus his usual industrial references.

Substance, who is based in Berlin and part of the Hard Wax record store family, provides a remix Scuba ‘Poppies’, which is even better than the Surgeon mix.

This is an exciting first part of a remix trilogy from Hotflush Recordings and if the remaining two parts of the series are just as strong as this, we’re in for a real treat.
