5 TIPPS TO BECOME A GOOD DIGITAL DJ

build your own unique dj tools. start today building your own loop library in Traktor/ Serato. search your crate for one song you like and find a loop not longer then 8 bars. save this loop to a dedicated loops folder in your software. repeat this procedure every day and see the potential of your digital crate growing.

2.
build your own and very special crate with old classic songs from the past. be aware that electronic music has a long history of more then 40 years.

start today digging thru archieves of music and watch out for songs, that have been released before the times of Digital DJing. try to find a pearl, that probably nobody else would have in his crate the next night you will play in the club.

3.
be critical about your music collection. start today going over your whole music library and kick out ALL tracks that dont rock yourself 100 %.

you should only leave in tunes that have an exceptional great groove and something very special. even if that means to delete 80 % of your digital music library - be consequent! it is better to have 10 real rockers instead of 1000 standard and boring tunes.

start today to use the full potential of your Traktor software. setup double macros, to execute at once a bunch of commands with the push of a single button. be faster then other DJs and have your personalized unique and secret short cuts.
