$20 million Hollywood Palladium to host dance music

Los Angeles’ $20 million newly renovated Hollywood Palladium venue will host dance music events for the first time in its long music history this New Year’s Eve.

The famous venue has in the past played host to Frank Sinatra, Elvis and The Beatles, but on December 31st electronic music will be reverberating around the giant venue.

Led by Israeli psy-trance act Infected Mushroom [a], the party is being hosted by Avaland At Large, the same promoters behind the highly successful Saturday nights at Avalon club in Hollywood.

L.A.’s own indie-dance champion Hhypy Crunk and the Rolling Stone-supported electro duo Flosstradamus [a] will also play that night.

The bash is a one-off, although our sources tell us that Avaland At Large might consider doing quarterly events at the Palladium should things go well on New Year’s Eve.

Pre-tickets are $40.50 available from ticketmaster.com.
