San Francisco Lovefest

Based on Berlin’s famous Love Parade, San Francisco’s Lovefest is an annual street parade that stands for electronic music and free love, man.

DJs play on floats that roll through the city’s streets whilst thousands of clubbers, freaks, naked people and bemused tourists dance and join in the fun.

Like all good dance music events, the onus of Lovefest is on participation and its organisers aren’t in it for a quick buck - attendance to Lovefest is free and indeed Lovefest remains an all volunteer non-profit organisation.

However attendees are asked to donate $10 to attend Lovefest to help pay for clean-up and safety costs. If you do give $10 this year, you will receive a discount on cocktails and a Beatport card to download a free Lovefest mix compilation.

Plus for 2007, Dr. Motte - the original DJ behind the Berlin Love Parade - will do a special key-note speech to kick-off the parade.
