FILTH LAUNCH IN MANCHESTER WITH THE MIGHTY MICKY SLIM

Having scored their first birthday Filth dive straight into their second year of mayhem with a line up packed with quality.

For Filth’s February fiesta. We launch at new club AREA51, Manchester into a new era of underground music with upfront sounds and banging electro. First up, cutting edge production hotshot, master of the decks and all round show stopper – Micky Slim. Now with a fully fledged label and numerous residencies behind him (Bomb Squad Records Godskitchen & Mix Club in Paris in case you’re interested), will play his first Filth of 2008. Always big with any crowd, Slim’s style covers all bases – house, electro, to a more ghetto underground sound that has been gracing the UK dancefloors over the winter. His music always caters for the party people – aka Filth

Mr Slim will be joined by the new man of the moment Ed Kane. We welcome Ed back after he tore the roof off Wire in Leeds for us back in December and we expect very much the same. On hand will be talented residents Danny Savage, Dale Castell and Eddie Zenetti who will be playing the wonkiest, nu skool jackin electro that will get your legs twitching and your body shakin.

Joining Filth in the second room are Ibiza main players, The Zoo Project. Having taken Ibiza by storm last year with their formidable parties in an abandoned zoo, they join Filth at AREA51 to bring some Ibiza spirit with them and some mighty fine DJ’s as well. Zoo residents The Rejekts will play the best in bouncy minimal and techno with a whole host of Ibiza madness in between.

Filth Leeds Present TWOCKER – 1st March , Mint Club

Following on from the incredible Audio Bullys LIVE event which showcased a stunning selection of live artists, new resident DJ’s and cutting edge displays of electronic excellence….Filth is continuing the trend by bringing in one of the most brilliant underground DJ’s to hit clubland this year, TWOCKER.

Filth is one of the most exciting club nights in the North and that has now become a fact as Galaxy FM named then ‘Best New Club Night’… Filth continues to push boundaries and set trends, whilst staging the most off the hook parties anywhere in North….

As part of the Filth Weekender that sees Filth Launch in Manchester on the Friday and then return to Leeds for a Saturday night of mayhem. Twocker have been causing a stir on the scene the last 6 months. Radio 1 have played almost everyone of their records and Dj’s as big as Eric Morillo, Roger Sanchez to Pete Tong and Dave Spoon have been smashing dancefloors across the globe with the unique Twocker sound. Twocker have already played to sell out crowds at Turnmills, Ministry of Sound and Godskitchen and we can’t wait to get them on the Filth decks.

We are pleased to welcome Will Bailey and Calvertron AKA TWOCKER to Filth which looks set to be another roadblock after last month’s 1st birthday shenanigans that saw the biggest Filth crowd ever seen.
