Kidology launches at The Island

Still on a high from its successful residency at The Cross in 2007, Kidology is about to take things up gear as it prepares for its launch night at London’s hottest new venue, The Island.

Formerly The Soundshaft in Charing Cross, The Island is no longer recognisable as its former self; it’s now an extremely stylish addition to the London scene, and Kidology can’t wait for its launch night on Saturday 2nd February.

Kidology Records don, Mark Wilkinson and co will reside here on the first Saturday, every other month.

In 2007, the Kidology parties made a name for putting the fun back into clubbing, and 2008 looks set to go even further. The saucy and gorgeous Kidettes – a colourful group of cheeky ladies who get up to mischief around the club, entertaining the crowds – will be out in their masses doing what they do best by adding the flare that is distinctive of a Kidology party.

Like its label that has churned out floor filling music, year after year; the Kidology nights are equal in filling floors with bass-driven, pumping, house and electro. Headlining this launch party is none other than house music hero, Seamus Haji, a man famed for his ‘Big Love’ imprint and version of the epic ‘Last Night A DJ Saved My Life’, amongst much more. Mark Wilkinson aka Dab Hands, will woo the crowds along with Attica Shanghai resident, Jon White, and ex-Streets keyboard player and Kidology ressie, Eddie Kid.

A first time for Kidology is the pairing up with LMP DJ’s (Like Minded People) who will host the second room. With an alternative and darker music policy, LMP will play a soundtrack of the coolest sounds around, from DJ Rachel Barton, and its founders Dillon Koenig and Adam K.
