Elegantly Wasted Saturdays with Velizar at Vault

Party Concept – Elegantly Wasted Saturdays @ Vault with Velizar showcases the roots and influences of innovative dance music while encouraging creative collaborations among musicians, DJs, visual artists and dancers. The party aims at introducing and promoting underground talents while maintaining the highest quality of music by some of the most creative new producers and musicians from across the music world. It is a party that welcomes all intellectual and artistic people, and unites all within the exuberant spirit of electronic dance music.

On October 13th, we will be presenting the In Progress infamous 7hr DJ set with Velizar? and two young and talented DJs, Dan Alcala and Andrio Abero.

Dan won the Avalon Nightclub mix contest twice in 2004 and 2005. Since then he has gained recognition for playing at other great clubs in Boston such as Rise, The Phoenix Landing, Aria, Venu, 360 Ultra Lounge, Water Club and dozens of house parties. He is also had the chance to open for some well known global DJs like Jay West, DJ Sneak, Mark Lewis and Matt Darey. Dan has recently moved to New York and hopes to bring his unique style of tech house, electro and neo trance to the Big Apple.

Pacific Northwest native DJ Andrio Abero, an established graphic designer and break-dancer, deftly blends a sweeping range of electronic music, from the soulful deep house of Buzzin’ Fly to techno from Kompakt. Andrio began mixing in 2000 at the Vera Project, a non-profit music and art center, and has played opening sets at Nuemos, The Rendevous, Crawl Space Gallery, the Century Ballroom and numerous parties in Seattle. In his work he explores the relationship between art and design, dance and movement, visually and sonically.

From mid-night to 4am, In Progress headliner Velizar? will take you on an experimental 4hr Dj epic journey of electric, soulful, quirky, chunky, funky, minimal, atmospheric, anthemic, eccentric musical contrasts, and all the beautiful dramas in between.
