Cute and cosy Cielo in the ultra chic downtown Meat Packing District of New York has become a favourite haunt for underground house and techno fans.

Mainly because the space was purpose-built for dancing with a centrally located sunken dancefloor, and the club always has quality line-ups.

Cielo has set a new level in New York nightlife by going back to basics.

It’s all about the music, and the club boasts good DJs, a strict door policy, stunning decor and lighting and a world-renowned soundsystem built by legendary UK soundsystem pioneers, Funktion One.

Since it opened, Cielo has won a number of accolades - it was voted one of the world’s top 50 clubs by readers of Britain’s DJ Magazine in 2007.
