Drop The Lime ‘Hear Me’
NYC’s very own junglist Drop The Lime
unleashed a phat breakbeat monster with ‘Hear Me’.
Featuring soulful vocals, gritty electro bassline breakbeat and a soaring breakdown the track teases and builds you up like other.
The video features CGI characters in Space and on motorbikes, which is pretty random, but hey ho it’s an interesting watch.

Armand Van Helden ‘NYC Beat’
Armand Van Helden’s ‘NYC Beat’ is taken from his latest artist album ‘Ghettoblaster’ and is a retro dancefloor bomb, featuring a catchy vocal loop, an old disco groove and a wicked electro bassline.
Armand has managed to evoke the spirit of New York’s 1985-89 uptempo hip hop and soul movement with ‘NYC Beat’ and as such it is an unashamedly fun, joyful record.
The radio stations love this track.

Black Strobe ‘I’m a Man’
French dance/rock four piece band Black Strobe
are back with a new crazy electro-rock track, which is set to blow up big time.
By combining Elvis Presley-style rock & roll with electro breakbeat on ‘I’m a Man’, Black Strobe are sure to gain widespread attention from the mainstream as well as the dance music community.
It is however, Audion’s Donation Mix that has been causing the most dancefloor carnage.
Matthew Dear’s version is an outstanding slice of cutting-edge minimal techno - John Digweed has been using Audion’s remix of ‘I’m a Man’ to open a number of his DJ sets.
The video for ‘I’m a Man’ was apparently based on the opening credits of Saturday Night Fever, except it’s a little bit more evil. Rock out!

Phonique interview
“If electronic music stops I guess I’ll be a poker player,” says Phonique
aka Michael Vater. The recent success of the Berlin-based producer and DJ has meant Phonique has developed a penchant for online gambling, a result of spending hours in airports flying to and from gigs with nothing to do.
