Grooverider arrested in Dubai for cannabis and porn

Britain’s top drum & bass DJ Grooverider has been arrested in Dubai after cannabis and hardcore porn DVDs were allegedly found in his record bag.
The Sunday Mirror reported that the BBC Radio 1 DJ was searched as he arrived at the Gulf state’s international airport for a club gig.
Grooverider - real name Raymond Bingham - was detained and is expected to appear in court this week.
He faces jail or deportation if he is found guilty.
Many online forums are have already begun speculating as to what this means for the future of this legendary DJ.
Questions of how the BBC will respond to these charges against one of their leading DJs, and what charges will be brought against him have already been brought up.
A BBC spokesman said: “It’s a legal matter so we cannot comment.”
