DJ/producer Terry Tu is one of the brightest rising stars in China’s dance music scene.

His sets combine records with “live” loops, samples and accents triggered by a sequencer, creating a feeling unique to his tasty house sound.

His style of music matured over the years into a wonderful and extremely groovy melting pot of deep and clicky sounds and atmospheric, tasty house. In his DJ sets he loves to tease his audience before bringing them into a frenzy.

His sound owes a lot to his experience as a sound engineer on several mainland blockbusters, including Zhang Yimou’s “Curse of the Golden Flower” and Chen Kaige’s “The Promise”. “Working in movies has really helped me become more professional about sound,” Tu explains. “It helps to understand how high quality sound is constructed, which I hope will make my music more enjoyable to the crowd “.

As a dedicated producer, Terry Tu focuses on developing original Deep House, Tech House and Minimal Techno music. In December 2008, his EP was released by Acupuncture Records, and is considered China’s first groundbreaking Deep House track.
