Bursting onto the scene in 2006, Sharooz’s whirlwind debut ‘Hell Yeah’ became one of the club records of that year, winning support from the likes of Roger Sanchez, Pete Tong, DJ Dan and David Guetta, reaching no.2 in the Buzz and Cool Cuts Charts, appearing on 20 compilations and selling over 10,000 units.
In the past two years since, Sharooz has released on numerous labels including Instereo, Milk & Sugar and Audacious Records, remixing or having been remixed by the likes of Miles Dyson, Dave Aude, Mike Balance, Angel Alanis and even Craig David! His single ‘Sextitude’ reached no.29 on the Beatport charts, gaining the support of D Ramirez, Will Bailey and Frew and going on to be awarded Kiss FM’s ‘One For The Weekend’. Early in 2008 Sharooz picked up the prestigious Remix Magazine Product of The Year award for his production on the Sample Magic sample collection ‘Electro House’.
Late in 2008 Sharooz scored one of the year’s biggest selling dance downloads with ‘Get Off’ on Miles Dyson’s Plasmapool label. Supported by the likes of Dylan Rhymes, Kissy Sell Out, Deepgroove, Galaxy and Kiss FM it peaked at no.6 on the Beatport charts, remaining in the top 10 for over 6 weeks and also taking the no.1 slot on Trackitdown for over 2 months. Having spent much of last year DJing across the world as far afield as San Francisco, Stockholm, Belgrade, Moscow, Los Angeles and Ibiza, 2009 look set to be an even bigger year, with a slew of remixes, collaborations and original productions in the pipeline..
