Phillip O was born in Bogota Colombia on May 21st 1985. At the age of 10, he was introduced to the sounds of electronic music. At 15, he got himself a pair of turntables and a few records, and started to learn how to DJ. He began his DJ career playing venues and festivals all over Colombia, Costa Rica and Venezuela while sharing the booth with many influential artists.  Phillip O has even played for global brands such as Hed Kandi and Ministry of Sound.

Not content with only DJing, 7 years later, Phillip O decided to take things to the next level and began producing the music that he says is “his true passion and talent”.

Phillip O’s second release came out on the respected Cr2 Records, a respected British Label. It was a remix for the hit producer/DJ Fedde Le Grand. This officially put Phillip O on the map for the first time ever, getting radio play and support from Club DJ’s all over the world, including the likes of Henrik B! A couple of weeks later, Phillip O got his second remix released on the same label. It was a remix of the classic club hit “Walking Away” by The Egg and Tocadisco.

Since then, Phillip O has released music on several labels, such as LS City Records from Leeds, Utku Dalmaz’s own Sound Mass from Turkey, DJ Disciple’s imprint Catch 22, Vinyl Pusher from Australia, and No Requests Music from Canada upon which he had the honor to remix Dean Newton, who has been a big influence in Phillip O’s career. Making a diverse genre of tracks, Philip O does not want to be pigeonholed into just one style: ”Good music sees no particular form, its just good music.” His tracks range from Deep House up to Techno and everything in between.

As if all this wasn’t enough, Phillip O’s productions have been supported by Funkagenda, Dean Newton, Jon Cutler, Cuban Brothers, Alex Young, Jamie Fisher, Ant Brooks, John Jones, Raymundo Rodriguez, D.Ramirez among many others as the list just keeps getting bigger with each release.

Nowadays, Phillip is preparing tons of original material solo and collaborative with brilliant producers like Ant Brooks, Jim Breese, Dezza, ChrisB, Jamie fisher, Nunzi, Jul Bricks and Miguel Estrada to name a few. As the ever increasing demands continue, this one is for sure - keep an eye out for Phillip O in 2010!
