Oxia, aka Olivier Raymond, was born in Grenoble, France in 1971.

While growing up and in college, he became friends with Stéphane Deschezeaux, a man with very similar taste in music. Soon the two made their debut on a local radio show playing a funk set and began playing student parties.

In 1991, the duo purchased their first bits of music production equipment and began producing. Only two years later Oliver became a resident DJ at Grenoble. The year after, the duo together is now known as Oxia [a] .

In 1995, Oxia paired up with Kiko and created Ozone Records, which they released their first EP album on. Soon Oliver and Stéphane split; Oliver kept the Oxia name and Stéphane went on the make up half of Human Body [a] .

He teamed up with The Hacker [a] and Alexandre Reynaud to start the GoodLife [l] label in 1998.
