Oliver Huntemann is an electronic producer and DJ based in Hamburg, Germany.
In the late 70’s, the American youth culture began to invade Europe and grabbed Oliver’s attention, leading him to begin purchasing and spinning vinyl. However, to please his parents, he joined the German navy forces and became an electrician.
When the acid house wave came in the late 80’s he knew that was his thing. He began organizing his own parties which led him to meet Gerret Frerichs who owned a club and small studio. Together they joined with H.G. Schmidt to form Humate
and released their first record in 1992 on the MFS label.
In 1995 he founded his Confused Recordings
and Dance Electric![[a]](http://www.beatportal.com/images/site/misc/wiki_box_a.gif)
labels. He went on to later launch the Ideal Audio
label as well.
Him and studio partner Stephan Bodzin
remixed the Depeche Mode’s ‘Everything Counts’.
