When Nathan Fake joined Border Community![[l]](http://www.beatportal.com/images/site/misc/wiki_box_l.gif)
for his debut release Outhouse, he may have appeared to be heading off along the tried and tested European techno trail; but as he was quick to illustrate with the psychedelic epic The Sky Was Pink (prior to the monstrous Holden remix), there are many more strings to this young rabbit’s bow. Debut album Drowning in a Sea of Love (which also featured the lighters-in-the-air anthem You Are Here) was the perfect excuse to take his rich treasure trove of synth-rock gems on the road, but recent live sets have evolved into a much harder take on the electronica brief, offering cryptic clues as to where the unstoppable uber-producer is headed on his forthcoming mini-album Hard Islands set for release in May 2009…
