Miguel Puente | DJ | Producer | Promoter | Sound Designer

Since his early days, Miguel Puente has always had a big attraction to music that had something to big to express, like big emotions and feelings as well as concrete ideas. He was born in Monterrey, Mexico where it has always been difficult for Miguel to hear and find the music that he likes. Living in Montreal for a small period was enough to evoke Miguel’s appetite for more and different types of music than the ones he was used to back home. He was really fascinated by what he saw in that city, the vibe plus such great energy in all the places he visited made him try to bring that back home with him, so he started making parties once back in Monterrey.

Miguel became captivated by how some Djs / Producers gave their own personal vision to the music they played by elevating it into an artistic way of expression. For him this made them not only dj’s but true artists, So he took advantage of his new found feelings, wasted no time and began quickly to discover the world behind computer music.

Decided to go deeper into sound to get a bigger and more solid knowledge, so he moved to Barcelona were he graduated with a degree in Audio Engineering. Miguel spends most of his time working with sound or making his own productions. As sound designer he worked making sound fx for a mexican serie. As producer & remixer he has worked and collaborated on labels like Affin, Dialtone, Raccoon, Para Disco, Inmotion, among others. As dj Miguel has played all around Mexico in cities like Monterrey, Puebla, San Luis, Matamoros, Cancun, Texas in the USA, also Barcelona where he has shared decks with people like Joachim Spieth, Camea & Adultnapper.

Bored of being just in one point his sets and music could include everything around house and techno combined with soul, funk and disco al around it. An eclectic unique touch putting together his influences and his taste in tropical grooves of tech house and turning them into landscapes that make you feel like you are constantly in different places with out disturbing a musical line (if there is any).
