A Texas native, techno DJ and producer Matthew Dear moved to Michigan as a teenager.
Inspired by Detroit techno, he met Sam Valenti IV and the two went on to found the label Ghostly International![[l]](http://www.beatportal.com/images/site/misc/wiki_box_l.gif)
