Since 1995 Alexander “Mulle” Golz is an active musician. After learning to play several instruments, such as keyboards, saxophone and guitar, in 1995 he joined the heavy-rock band “Matutin”. While he played in this formation, Mulle got involved with psychedelic-dance music, and visited so called “goa-parties” all over Germany. Around 1998 he also started DJ-ing at trance-events. This was also the year in which he opened the “acoustic club” in Hamburg. For one year this location was a familiar place for party-people on Fridays. Well known as “DJ Mullekular”, Mulle played at trance- and progressive parties all over Germany. After leaving “Matutin” he started to produce his own progressive music in his home studio. The first tracks were played on many events and gave Mulle incentive to keep on producing.
In 2003 the project “Kularis” was officially born. First gigs at club locations opened the doors to play at various festivals. Several releases on popular labels like Spintwist, YSE, Planet Ben and Synergetic followed in the next years. In summer 2006 the first album “Kularis-Rovin´on” was released on Spintwist, and hit dance floors around the globe to great acclaim. Lots of co-productions started, for example with Aerospace (Aerokularis), Sangeet (Salaris) and DJ Tamahuka (NEA).
In the winter of 2006 he built a new production studio, for music, theatrical collages as well as post-production. The 2nd album “Kularis-Technical progress” was released in 2008 and lots of singles followed. Mulle’s down-to-earth nature and his constant efforts to take himself and his music to the next level, guarantee interesting developments for the future – both on the decks and in the studio.
