Radio Slave, aka Matt Edwards, is a techno producer and DJ. Originally from Brighton, he moved to Berlin, Germany for personal reasons and became friends with Berghain resident DJ Marcel Dettmann
.
Radio Slave has produced under several aliases such as Matthew E
, Quiet Village
(with Joel Martin), Sea Devils (with Tom from Cagedbaby
), and Rekid
.
Under his Radio Slave guise, his productions date back to a remix of ‘Emerge’ on FS Studios in 2001. His DJing career, however, started back in 1992 when he began playing at the Milk Bar in London. He then went on to play gigs at Ministry Of Sound and eventually began touring the country.
Radio Slave set up his own label Rekids
in 2004.
