Move D, aka David Moufang, is a techno producer and DJ based out of his hometown in Heidelberg, Germany.

He has also produced in several groups such as Deep Space Network, Conjoint, View to View, Studio Pankow, Kin Sun.

As a kid, he grew up listening to his grandmothers playing piano and went on to study classical percussion and jazz guitar for years.

In 1989, his friend D-Man introduced him to techno when he took him to the Milk! Club he was running in Mannheim.  His first productions came out in the early 90’s with partner Jonas Grossman under the Deep Space Network alias.  In the years to follow, he progressed through different aliases as his music shifted directions from space-like jazz to more electronic techno sounding.

In 1992 the Deep Space Network duo founded the Source Records label which is also based in Heidelberg.  Move D releases work on his own label along with other labels such as Compost [l], Liebe Detail [l], and Smallville Recordings.

In 2008, he received the award as one of the top techno artists by Beatportal.  Resident Advisor also ranked him #3 on the top 10 live acts of 2008.
