John Dahlbäck, born just outside Sweden’s capital city in 1985, is a DJ and producer.  After moving to London, he joined forces with his cousin Jesper Dahlbäck and the duo started producing under the Hugg & Pepp alias. John has also used the alias Hug for some of his minimal techno productions.

In 2005, he launched his own label, Pickadoll Records which has released tracks by artists such as Özgur Can, Sebastien Leger, Dada Life, Zoo Brazil, Robbie Rivera, Laidback Luke and himself.

His released productions date back to 2002 with ‘Music So Sweet’ on Deep4Life and he currently continues to crank out tracks for labels such as Toolroom Trax, Ultra and Kompalt. 

One of his most recent notable benchmarks was his appearance on the infamous Essential Mix hosted by Pete Tong on October 4, 2008.
