London native Jamie Jones began DJing at the age of 16, with influences ranging from deep house to Detroit techno.
He has releases on Crosstown Rebels
, Freak N Chic
, Poker Flat
, Cocoon Recordings
and Get Physical.
His minimal techno style is said to be tongue in cheek: His track ‘911’ is a perfect example of this as it sampled a conversation between a stoned police officer who thought he was dying, and the 911 dispatch operator.
He has also collaborated with the likes of Simon Baker
and J-Mode, and has remixed Peace Division
, Danton Eeprom
and Shonky
.
