Claude VonStroke [a], aka Barclay Crenshaw, is a tech producer and DJ located in San Francisco.

His Claude vonStroke moniker began as a joke when his friend booked him to play an event and used that alias on the flyer.

While in his late teens, him and friend Jamie Osborne applied at Mr. Atkins’ Metroplex recordings studio in Detroit, but were turned down.

He went on to attend college in New York, then moved to Hollywood to work in the film industry, but after all that moved back to Detroit to continue his passion for electronic music.  The following year he moved to San Francisco.

He decided to combine his passion for electronic music and film by creating the DVD ‘Intellect’.  The production was a 6-hour DVD set that documented electronic music and interviewed many top-name DJ’s.  After completing the project, he founded his Dirtybird [l] label and began producing as Claude vonStroke.

In 2006, he released his first full-length album entitled ‘Beware of the Bird’ on his Dirtybird label.

The year after he launched a new label, Mothership [l].  A large percentage of the label’s profits go to a music school in his home-town of Detroit.

In 2009, vonStroke will be mixing ‘Fabric 46’ and returning to the studio to work on his second full-length album.
