Vangelis Kostoxenakis aka Angel Stoxx is one of the two musical brains of the known production duo Phatjak.

Apart from the Phatjak projects, Angel Stoxx is focusing this period exclusively on solo releases and collaborations with top labels, putting out his personal trademark.

With a dedication of more than 15 years in music, success knocked his door in 2000 after a big record hit (’’Circus’’) he did with his partner Evan Kay under the alias ‘’Mod Squad’’. Phatjak project was born 2 years after. During that period of time Vangelis studied sound engineering and music technology which proved to be wise and helpful tools for the years to come.

During the shining days of progressive house music, Angel Stoxx was into disco and tech funk house. He found inspiring the sound of the French scene and he is fascinated by it until now. His influences of dicofunk, phat beats and bass-lines where the key ingredients to hype up the project Phatjak which became worldwide known in 2005 after a big record ‘’Dirty Sunday’’, on Dave Seaman’s Audio Therapy.

Since then he counts numerous records of originals and remixes in labels such as Toolroom, Definitive, Isert Coin, Hotfingers, 303Lovers, Leaders of the new school, to name a few.
