‘Futuristic Nature of Fantastic Realism’

Spiritual and transcendental, Gare Mat K has been working in the movement of electronic music for well over decade with many of the world’s top Djs, recognized promoters and clubs. Having worked with a long list of high profile labels, he has enjoyed top charts success on numerous of occasions.

Besides, Gare Mat K is the man behind of some one of the most respected underground record labels nowadays, Progrezo Records, enjoying top 10 success on techno and minimal genres on various occasions, featuring names like the ones of Alex Young (Beatport’ best Minimal artist 2009), Alex Dolby, Anthony Pappa, Pole Folder, Jeff Bennett, Dubfunk, Aldrin (Singapure’s Zouk resident DJ), Rhythm Code, Nick Olivetti, Lank and Hol Baumann among more than 100 producers.

Big DJs like Timo Maas, Sasha, Nick Warren, Hernan Cattaneo, Tom Pooks, Pole Folder, Anthony Pappa, Flash Brothers, Eelke Kleijn, Komas Epsilon, Tarmo Vannas, Kasey Taylor… are playing the Gare Mat K music productions.

As DJ & live performer, Gare has been invited to play in Ibiza, Montevideo, Santiago de Chile, Miami, Barcelona, Punta Cana, Bogota, Cartagena, Cali, Medellin, Popayan, and all over Colombia.

His sets take us into a journey of non-conventional electronic music, made by strictly selection of powerful unreleased tracks, along with his own productions and exclusive edits of stomped, chunky, crisped, twisted and overwhelming music, suitable for body and mind.

“Music beyond our mental perspectives, reality and spiritually, full of colors, element and textures reflected through brilliant routes of magical lights by subtle sprites of effusion”.

Gare Mat K has been invited to mix three (3) different compilation CD’s, featuring tracks from Gaiser, Telefon Tel Aviv, Nick Warren, Jimmy Van M, Anthony Pappa, Chris Cargo, Tom Pooks, Alex Young, Pole Folder, Lank, Federico Epis, Royal Sapien, Christian Cambas, Jiva & Rula, Moonbeam, Jim Rivers, Mike Miller, Tim Davison… in addition to his own productions.

His first compilation CD “Comunicacion 2XCD”, reaches #2 charts by six months in Tower Records all over Colombia, rated 9/10 by a recognized Magazine specialized on electronic music. His second compilation CD “Contact traumfahrt 2XCD”, has been mixed next to Beatport’ best minimal producer in 2009 Alex Young. His third compilation CD “Undersleeve” is a collection of best tracks from 2006 to 2010, rated 8/10 by a recognized Magazine specialized on electronic music. His latest compilation CD “Parallelism” next to Alex Dolby, is on the oven to be aired in 2010 summer, followed by a worldwide CD tour.

Gare Mat K has been invited to do the warm up for John Digweed, Timo Maas, Loco Dice, Hernan Cattaneo, Danny Howells, Stel, Pole Folder, Danny Rampling, BT, Hatiras… and has share stage with Sasha, Tom Pooks, Sander Kleinenberg, Cassius and many more.

Gare has been invited to play at the “Encuentro Electronico” supported by the Canadian music festival “Mutek”, next to Gustavo Lamas, Vladislav Delay, Marciano, Portable, Crackhaus, Tim Hecker, Luomo… as well as has played front of more than 50.000 people along with the project of electronic music “Posthuman” at “Rock al Parque” festival in Bogota.
Actually, Gare is working on his debut solo album, several remixes and his new compilation CD next to Alex Dolby, which will be the first of a new generation of mixes by his real-time live set music.
